Manchester City and rival Arsenal are prepared to face off on September 22, 2024 at the Etihad Stadium. Both teams have been in terrific form of late this season, with Arsenal ranked 2nd in the Premier League behind first place City.

Guardiola gave City a slight advantage ahead of the match, as City has an extra day of rest to prepare for the match when compared to Arsenal, who played a tough match in Atalanta mid-week and City played in the Champions league.
Guardiola recognizes that Arsenal have improved as a team, and also commended Arteta for building a team capable of rivaling City over the last couple of years, as Arsenal is clearly City’s biggest rival. He also commended Arsenal for their more robust defensive performance, including the a solid display from Saliba and Magalhaes.
